1. Request information about Transitions by clicking here or calling (518) 775-5384.
The first step in our admissions process is for us to get to know each other. When you call or email us for more information, a dialogue where we can learn about you and you can learn about us begins. By asking and answering a few preliminary questions, we are able to assess whether or not Transitions is the right program for you. Because we tailor each experience to the individual student, this conversation makes us better equipped to design the right experience for you. Whether you are interested in going to college or learning a vocation and to live independently, we have everything you need.
2. Set up a Skype interview with a Transitions advisor.
Once the preliminary formalities are out of the way, we like to have a more in-depth conversation where you can feel free to ask all of your burning questions and we can ask some of you. We’ll get into the details and even work out a preliminary schedule so you can see what your typical day at Transitions will be like.
3. Come and visit us!
There’s no place like the Adirondacks! Come meet Transitions staff and current students and take an in-depth tour of the Transitions campus. See all we have to offer and get a real feel for what your time at Transitions will be like. To schedule a visit, call (518) 775-5384.
4. Fill out an application.
Once you’ve applied and submitted all necessary materials, we’ll start the registration process and tailor your housing arrangements, personal schedule, course load and staff supports to meet your needs and make sure that you get as much as you possibly can from the program.
5. Pay tuition and fees.
Once you’ve completed the evaluation, application and registration processes, we’ll give you a detailed breakdown of tuition and fees and help you make arrangements for payment.
