The first step in our admissions process is for us to get to know each other. When you call or email us for more information, a dialogue where we can learn about you and you can learn about us begins. By asking and answering a few preliminary questions, we are able to assess whether or not Transitions is the right program for you. Because we tailor each experience to the individual student, this conversation makes us better equipped to design the right experience for you. Whether you are interested in going to college or learning a vocation and living independently, we have everything you need.
Set up an interview with a Transitions advisor.
Once the preliminary formalities are out of the way, we like to have a more in-depth conversation where you can feel free to ask all of your burning questions and we can ask some of you.
Come and visit us!
There’s no place like the Adirondacks! Potential Apprentices who live in the area or are able to travel have the option to come meet Transitions staff and current students and take an in-depth tour of the Transitions campus. See all we have to offer and get a real feel for what your time at Transitions will be like. To schedule a visit, call (518) 775-5384.
The Transitions team will review your application and required documents and if it is decided that you meet the admissions criteria, we will schedule an interview which can either take place in person or online via Skype.
Once you’ve applied and have been accepted, we’ll begin the registration process.
If after your interview and a comprehensive review of your application materials we believe you are a good match for Transitions, we will offer you admission into the Transitions program. All residential applicants are required to participate in a Transitions Mini Camp before admission is finalized. This can be done before the application process or after the offer of admission is made. Click here for information about our Mini Camps.
*The deadline for application in the Summer Immersion Experience is June 1. Students will be accepted after the deadline only if space allows. Admission to the Full-Year Apprenticeships are considered on a rolling basis.
