Independent Living

A cornerstone of Transitions is the real-world, hands-on, instruction in cooking, cleaning, laundry, safety, personal finance and budgeting, and much more. Meals will be cooked by the students with instruction from the residential life support staff that is geared toward balanced, nutritious and delicious meals. Through partnership with Lexington, a disability services organization with 60 years of providing quality supports in residential and other program services, students will develop lasting independence skills. Students will share a common living space with at least one roommate and will be responsible for maintaining their apartment.
